The annual release of Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends is one of the most eagerly anticipated “events” of the year. It’s like Christmas and your birthday all rolled into one. And this year’s Internet Trends report didn’t disappoint.
The massive 294-slide presentation, released at the end of last month, touches on everything from data optimization to smart speakers to China to privacy.
Often called the “Queen of the Internet,” Meeker, a partner at the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), is known for taking a deep dive on subjects and shedding light on the most important macro trends.
And, as expected there is a lot of chatter surrounding Meeker’s findings. We could go through all nearly 300 slides, dissect and analyze them, but many people already have.
